Rebellions are built on hope. Sometimes, that hope is shattered. Other, better times, it is rewarded with freedom, emancipation, and a welcome end to oppression. Commemorating such an accomplishment is surely deserving of a public monument like the one at the heart of this plaza, a memorial to the losses, the sacrifices, and the ultimate, costly victory over oppression. History is known to repeat itself, however, and the spectre of tyranny is never very far from returning. Whether you choose to keep this plaza a peaceful reminder of atrocities past, with its comfortable cafés and fashionable shops, or whether it is to be the site of yet more despotism, this map is a perfect staging ground for peaceful protests and gatherings where nothing could possibly go wrong!
